MEERtalk: Denial to Disaster: The Consequences of Ignoring Climate Science with Robert Hunziker

In this talk, Robert will be opening with a short analysis subtitled, America Has Lost Its Soul, referencing the current attack on science, partly in the context of the French Revolution. As well as a discussion of a ‘futurists of note’ outlook for climate change and socio/economic political impact, where we are headed, how soon it’ll happen, and final resolution.

Robert Hunziker is an eco journalist who was motivated to study climate change by James Hansen’s 1988 speech to a Senate committee, stating the greenhouse effect had been detected. This led to studying peer-reviewed science and a decision to write articles using common language to inform the public, now over 400 published articles since 2010 in blogs, websites, and magazines, e.g., The Ecologist, Brave New Europe, CounterPunch, Pressenza International Press Agency, Dissident Voice, Monthly Review, Defend Democracy Press, City Watch LA, Facing Future, Earth, Countercurrents of India, Democracy Now!, ZNetwork, and others.
