Carbon-negative building systems achieve net-negative lifecycle greenhouse-gas balances when embodied emissions from manufacturing and transport are outweighed by biogenic carbon sequestration and by avoided operational emissions over the service life. MEER's bamboo–PET rooftops combine biogenic carbon storage in bamboo with reduced cooling energy demand, contributing to net-negative outcomes at building scale.
