Professor Stefan Rahmstorf
Head of Earth System Analysis · Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research
Stefan Rahmstorf is an oceanographer and climatologist who heads Earth System Analysis at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research and is professor of physics of the oceans at the University of Potsdam. His work on ocean circulation and sea level rise has shaped international understanding of climate risk.
